This is an area I reluctantly included. For I do not want to promote any company nor their products in these pages.

At the time I created this page all of the companies below, if the software was not free, allowed the ability to down load a copy of their software for limited use at no charge.

All of the packages I tested had advantages and disadvantages. From quality of the voice to various problems depending on the type and length of the document being read. No individual package stood out, in my mind, over any of the others as an over all general purpose package.

Since there are many variables of how a person could use the software. I would suggest trying several of the packages. Then uninstall the ones you do not like.
